question on kyoto protocol ratification

i heard on a different list that the kyoto protocol had been sent to congress 
for ratification and that nobody supported it. both info seem a little weird 
but all my searches on the internet (i spent the last half hour, which may 
not be enough) led to nothing. i found hearings about kp in congress but 
nothing else. could anyone of you suggest urls ?
