Zionism vs. Black Nationalism

Art is doing what Tom Wolfe, in an immortal essay of that title, called 
"Mau-Mauing the Flak-catchers," which can be defined, roughly, as deploying 
the use of the sort of incindiary rhetorica that might be suitable for an 
anti-Klan rally at the safe, soft target of liberal and radical 
sympathetizers with and supporters of black liberation, mainly for the 
pleasure of watching people put up with it so that they won't be guilty of 
being racist scum--surely it would be proof that we are racist scum if we 
objected to a black man, an authentic representative of the oppressed black 
masses, calling us racist scum, and saying that the OPB were perfectly 
entitled to drive us out of Evanston, Manhattan, Ithaca, etc., or kill us if 
we objected! Of course, nothing we do will persuade Art that we aren't 
racist scum--all white people racist scum by definition, it's analytical; 
it's elememtary. And Art, like Mayor Leuger of Vienna, gets to determine who 
is white. It's a sort of cheap kick for him, but it's a waste of time for 
the rest of us, because event abject agreement will only prove to Art that 
we are vicious oppressors. Can we move on to a productive discussion?
