KPFA MEETING FOR THE DISABLED COMMUNITY

SATURDAY, AUGUST 18, 1:00 p. m. - 4:00 p.m. NORTH BERKELEY SENIOR CENTER 1901 HEARST ST. at MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. WAY 510-644-6107

Since 1949 KPFA radio, 94.1 FM, has been a progressive voice for peace and social justice, serving the diverse communities of northern and central California from its Berkeley studio. People who live with disabilities and disability activists have both participated in programming and protested KPFA's scanty coverage of disability issues. An international disability rights movement originated in Berkeley, yet disability issues are not well integrated in KPFA 's broadcast.

Active minds and solutions welcome.
