heh. occurred to me after i corrected myself that i really ought to just look it up. halls sounds odd to modern usage. but, of course, then i had to remember all the buildings at my alma mater: the hall of languages, maxwell hall, yadda.

so, is it toe the party line or tow the party line. never mind. inside joke for peter s.
