The Internet backlash Felix Stalder 28.08.2001 We are witnessing a backlash against the progressive potential of the Internet With a mixture of technological fixes and legal pressures, large institutions are trying extend copyright protection in order to regain control over the flows of information. However, these efforts to maintain an outdated copyright regime are technically inefficient and socially dysfunctional. In the long run, they are part of a loosing battle.
