Not quite. A US government controlled by rentier thugs did nothing, but the US people have been remarkably generous about accepting millions of Vietnamese, Laotian and Cambodian immigrants; lots of neat programs are happening in US universities, new translations of Vietnamese poets, things like that. Got to be careful with that "America" word.
