But Doug, you're making the fatal error of focusing on inside-the-beltway arcana like Presidents and Vice-Presidents. The real story is what the Democrats are like "on the ground" - they're activists brimming with radicalism. Al Gore is a marginalized irrelevancy; the real big-shots in the party are Rep. Barbara Lee Jackson and the mayor of Madison, Wisc.
