Lord of the Rings:A Libertarian Fable or Fascist Agit-Prop?

I would never have dreamed that a movie about "Lord of the Rings" could be done so well. The first 30 minutes or so were a bit slow but then it was wonderful.

"Fascist agit-prop"? Hardly! The movie looks at power...and shows how difficult it is for even the "best" of humans to resist power. The Leninists who have called this movie "fascist" are only seeing their own shadows (look at the corruption under "real socialism)...that is why they have to neatly dispose of the movie as fascist...subtlety has no place in their black and white world.

Power is born of desire. That is not a bad thing in itself but in a class society that means yoking the production of other humans to serve that desire. Of course, even in a classless society the problem of power will exist, I think. However, it will take the form of human power and its consequences for nature.
