In a convoluted argument session, the justices considered several questions:

--Was Palazzolo's case ready to be heard by a court, since he had never sought permission to build the 74-lot subdivision that was the focus of his lawsuit?

********

This is what will determine if there's any hope of sanity left in the supremes. If they don't make this the core of their determination, they're legalizing extortion. I thought the *right*, in their public choice clothing, denounced such rent-seeking.

Also, why'd Souter stop with Roger Williams? Racist.
