More Good Points about Recession (and this time it is not satire)

I am used to "tough medicine" articles about recession but this article takes "self-absorbed" privilege to new lows.

In a jaw-dropping *front page* article in today's Boston Globe they interview "experts" about the good things of recession which include:

-easier to get a contractor -more room on airplanes -getting a table at your favorite restaurant -less commuter traffic -better help at department stores -cheaper homes (but the article emphasizes cheaper *vacation* homes) -lower interest on mortgages and car loans -sales in retail stores!!

The clincher is Standard & Poor's chief economist David Wyss saying:

''In the average recession, the unemployment rate goes up by 3.3 percent, or by about 5 million people nationwide. If you're not among those 5 million there are some real advantages to the situation.''
