BTW, if you're ever in the mood to give Charlie Parker another chance, the easiest way to hear the good recordings (plus some almost comically knowledgable background) is to tune into WKCR any weekday from 8:20am to 9:30am. Phil Schaap plays his stuff every day in that slot in a show called Birdflight. KCR is available over the internet as well.
