Those charts are generated by mrtg, and I suppose the author of mrtg prefers reading them with new data on the left. You can reverse it in an mrtg config by adding the "growright" parameter to an Options[] line.
RRDTool charts with new data on the right but offers no way to config it (AFAIK).
