Not only is Tom Daischle majority leader, but Kent Conrad is chair of the Senate Budget Committee and Byron Dorgan is chair of the Senate Democratic Policy Committee. When you throw in Missouran Democrat Richard Gephardt, the extent of the change on Capitol Hill becomes apparent. Middle America had taken over and it's Democratic. The elitists are now those Republicans in the White House.
