-Doing that right would probably take 100 questions, assuming -there was a right way to do it, and it was worth doing at all.

Actually, I think it would be worthwhile if tied to a good glossary or terms, since it would highlight the real choices any kind of socialism would have to confront and, without forcing definitive divisions, highlight the real issues that structure power in the economy.

We'll see if I get back to this seriously when I have time, but it does intrigue me. Although the best political spectrum was one devised by UTNE READER many years ago which differentiated the whole political spectrum on multimple axis from centralized power to degrees of inequality and so on. And it noted cultural affinities of different groups as well, as in it noted that "progressives" ate the food of oppressed peoples, but that democratic socialists ate much the same but with "more meat and bigger portions" :)
