[ASDnet] [SOCUNMOD] You're a Shachtmanite Charlie Brown.

Hey, I still like it even if it has it's arbitrary features. The first "equality" question is very unnuanced and the test focused a bit too much on the means of achieving socialism (violence versus parliametarism) with not enough differentiating the different kinds of socialism people might want to achieve (decentralized green cooperatives versus market socialist systems versus a global socialist state owning all industry in common), but fun nonetheless :)

Comrades,

I hoped it comforting for you to know that that test that I created isn't perfect. I created mainly to help new leftists to get a general idea and also to direct them to the Red Encyclopedia.

Mine was pretty much correct (Democratic Marxist, Progressive, etc.), but I *was* surprised to see how low down on the list Trotskyist was.

Solidarity,

John

Nooooooooooo, I have to be a "Progressive" and a "Libertarian Socialist" and a

"Shactmanite." Don't feel too bad Dave at least on yours you came out more of

a Democratic Socialist than a Shachtmanite! I did beat you out in the

Democratic Marxist catagory though! heh heh. I got to admit I think my results

are somewhat accurate from 4 on down (fit in 1-3 between 6 and 7) though I

wish Castro would have came in above Lenin-Trotsky with Stalin/Mao at the

bottom where they belong.

1. Progressive Hey!

2. Libertarian Socialist

3. Shactmanite

4. Social Democrat

5. Democratic Socialist

6. Democratic Marxist

7. Christian Socialist

8. Anarchist

9. Bookchinite

10. DeLeonist

11. Leninist-Trotskyist

12. Kimist

13. Stalinist/Maoist

14. Castroist
