By the way, the qualifier "political" to my mind takes care of Nathan's concerns. Then all that has to be added is that virtually all references to "zionism" are to political zionism, so that including the "political" is not only unnecessary, but redundant. So that accepted practice should be for "zionism" to indicate political zionism, with "spiritual zionism" used for the other kind.
