Is there any further info on statistical trends in the numbers & proportions of Israeli deserters, conscientious objectors, etc.? Are they increasing? How actively are Israeli leftists helping young people become conscientious objectors, assisting deserters, etc., thereby sapping the strength of the military, a la the anti-Vietnam War movement? Or are material & ideological conditions such that this political angle is not very promising?
