I meant Putin, of course. Kagarlitsky wouldn't touch an oligarch with a ten-foot-pole, except maybe to push one off a cliff.
By the way, for anyone interested in Soviet intellectual history, I highly recommend his 1987 "The Thinking Reed: Intellectuals in the Soviet Union." I mean Kagarlitsky, of course.
