Dawkins on 30,000 genes?

Does anyone (Peter Van H?) know whether Dawkins, Dennett or any of the other sociobiologist crowd have come up with a response yet to the fact that human beings only have 30,000 genes? Gould and others of our side have been pretty quick off the mark to point out that it gives decent support to all sorts of politically convenient things; it's not like the "evolutionary psychologists" to be so quiet. Have they declared victory and departed the field?

cheers
