May 4-6 KAHEA's conference on indigenous economics and cultural rights.
May 7 - evening: Teach-in on Globalization by the International Forum on Globalization. This is a speaker's bureau of world-renowned experts on globalization addressing the impacts on the environment, governments, Indigenous people, economies, etc. 4-6 speakers will be attending. Walden Bello is one person confirmed. Stay tuned for final list of speakers.
May 8 and10- daytime - panels with globalization experts, members of
affected communities and ADB staff.
May 8 and 10 evening - a "people's tribunal" / testimonies of individuals from affected communities with documented impacts from ADB projects. ADB officials will be invited. Sponsored by several Int'l organizations and ADBwatch.
May 9 (opening day of ADB meeting) 10:30-3:30 a protest march and rally (3:30--?) with many special guests (local and international). March for Global Justice.
May 11 -evening- Examining the role of the military in economic globalization.
