The autobiographical parts are interesting. The main arguments about why he's given up on revolutionary socialism and the working class are so awful it is hard to imagine the Gerry Cohen of old allowing his students to commmit them. Thus: the proletariat, i.e., the blue collar industrial working class, is not the majority in any modern industrialized society, so Marx is washed up. I am not kidding. This is is his argument. --jks
