While Joe Stalin is not currently a suspect (he is dead and never visited Western Massachusetts), the drawing does raise some questions. Soviet Historians contacted about Stalin's involvement have rejected the possibility of time travel or Stalin's immortality. Other researchers have franticly looked for a connection between Stalin and Warren, Mass. and have not been able to uncover one yet.
