it goes without saying that anti-racist whites are not Black, which is what I
take to be the substance of what Carroll is saying. when I 'debated' the African
American former mayor of KC, me pro reps and he against, I stated emphatically
that I do not represent the African American community, I do not speak for the
African American community, etc. but we must have anti-racist whites who speak
out against white supremacy, men who speak out against patriarchy and sexism,
hetrosexuals who speak out against heterosexism and homophobia. whites need to
hear other whites speak out against racism, who acknowledge their own privilege
as well. so many whites believe that if they think they are not racist, they do
not benefit from racism in our society. they obviously dont get it, and we will
make more progress if we can convey how white supremacy operates (of course they
also are harmed in some ways as well, but it is a very different kind of harm. I
am convinced that racism is a mental illness.)

Because while the question may be obvious to you, the answer isn't,
despite the certainty with which you characteristically speak.
By the way, I'm still waiting for your explanation for why the BRC is
the authentic voice of black America, while the 90% of black
Americans who voted for Gore aren't. You've said with repeated force
that the Democrats must be destroyed, right? In overwhelming numbers,
black Americans don't agree. Why?
