Damn, isn't that getting to the heart of the matter.
My friend Dan Lazare was on a black talk radio show in Cincinnati the other day to promote his fine new book, America's Undeclared War, about the anti-urban bias in U.S. policy and its social and environmental consequences. Dan said the callers were extreeeeeemly pissed off people. One guy described being stopped, frisked, and cuffed by cops 30 times - just for walking while black. It's no wonder the place exploded. Of course the FBI is investigating "rioters" rather than cops. Repulsive.
