An interesting piece of trivia relevant to this, which I offer up for the delight of cultural studies types everywhere is that according to Private Eye, Minnie Driver, who played Will's love interest in the film, is the daughter of Ron Driver, a character of a certain reputation in the Lloyd's of London insurance market, who by somewhat unexplained means, managed to find himself in possession of a large sum of what might more normally be thought of as other people's money. He was lucky enough to have an accountant who kept his gob shut (and served five years for contempt of court for doing so), and as a result remains scot free.
