Marx liked to eat well (when he could afford to), so I think that his taste buds (at the very least) would have voted for organic agriculture. I'm not sure, though, if the transition to socialism would allow us to go beyond USDA-approved "industrial organic" mentioned in the NYT article by Michael Pollan. I wonder what various political tendencies represented here -- anarchism, socialized market, market socialism, revolutionary black nationalism, Leninism, etc. -- think of the problem of agriculture & industrial society's dependence upon cheap food.
