It's mostly Al Giordano, a former lefty-journalist for the Boston Phoenix (a lefty paper, I guess), now in self-imposed exile somewhere in Mexico. Alot of the site consists of translations of articles in Latin American papers and journals. NN has attracted some attention, but NOT for its layout.
AG is now being sued by the Mexican bank Banamex for libel relating to stuff he posted (mostly from the Merida muckracking paper Por Esto! [with punctuation]) on the head of Banamex and his properties in Quintana Roo. All of this is on the site, but you have to fish around to get anything.
