The new print CP has a little story saying that Jiang Zemin was the
first world leader to get in touch with Bush after 9/11, and told the
Leader of the Free World that it'd be ok by him if the U.S. dropped
nuclear weapons on the perps. How does CP know this? They don't say -
we just have to trust them.

  Nah, it was Putin! He asked if it would be o.k. to nuke the Chechens,
according to MY informed sources! Kidding... Seriously though Brezhnev
called LBJ just prior to the Warsaw Pact invasion of Czechoslovakia in '68
asking if NATO would counter. See Zdenek Mlynar, "Nightfrost in Prague, "
Karz-Cohl Publishers, circa 1980. Mlynar was a roomate of Gorby's in the
60's when studying in Moscow, and was on the CC of the Czechoslovak CP
during the Prague Spring.
