Seriously though Brezhnev called LBJ just prior to the Warsaw Pact invasion of Czechoslovakia in '68 asking if NATO would counter. See Zdenek Mlynar, "Nightfrost in Prague, " Karz-Cohl Publishers, circa 1980. Mlynar was a roomate of Gorby's in the 60's when studying in Moscow, and was on the CC of the Czechoslovak CP during the Prague Spring. Michael Pugliese
