Speaking of which, as Slavoj Zizek said in a talk in NYC last week, he never understood why the argument that the U.S. helped create Osama and the Taliban had any particular relevance to the war. Quite the contrary, he continued - if you create something bad, you have a special responsibility to destroy it.
