That's not what I'm driving at at all - I'm completely opposed to that apocalyptic logic. Policy-wise, Bloomberg is just not that different from Green. The right is vocalizing loudly about how he's to the left of Rudy - even, gasp, an avowed liberal. I'm hoping that a weakening of the Dem machine will result in some rethinking within the party as well as fresh activity outside it. Right now, the NYC Democratic party is somewhere between worthless and malignant.
