It's called top-down socialism. Is it any wonder that after having suffered from such a dictatorship that one might blame "socialism", "marxism" en bloc as the cause of the problem? Draconian dialectics, my dear Watson!
These groups, like WWP, by trying to defend the failed experiment of stalinism, only contribute to the rampant cynicism. Who can blame people for feeling cynicism when the only possibilites that seem to be offered are capitalism or stalinist totalitarianism?
