Doi! Forgot to cite two of the books I had on my Sr. Orals. "The Dictatorship Over Needs, " by three students of Lukacs, G. Markus, Agnes Heller, and A. Vajda. A bit hard to find, though I found a remaindered copy some yrs. back. Two chapters were condensed by Socialist Review in the mid 80's as, "Eastern Left, Western Left. " Reviews the main interpretations on the marxist left with a bit of Weber thrown in. And, "The Alternative in Eastern Europe, " by R. Bahro. M.E. Sharpe published a volume, conference papers on Bahro from a Trot Mandelite/New Left bunch of folks. Marcuse, Mandel, "Red Rudi" Deutschke.
