This is literal non-sense. _The Left (at the present time) is a non-existent entity, and any statements about "the left" (positive or negative) are mere intellectual farts for self-gratification, not comments on any aspect whatever of the real world.
Since I presume Breslin considers himself a "leftist," this statement is either, as I said, a mere intellectual fart or it applies as much to Breslin himself as to anyone else.
Dennis Breslin disagrees with X, Y, & Z. But he lacks the energy, the intellect, the knowledge, or the courage to develop that disagreement, so he pisses on unnamed people and preens himself on his superiority.
