Actually agree that was one of the only funny bits- and yeah, it was a shot at the peace movement which tends to take any factoid and slam it into pre-arranged statements, even if they argue opposite things.
Although one funny bit was the mindless dancing by a society party crowd, rejoicing vicariously in the taking of cities whose names they obvious had never heard of before the media repetition and whose context they had no understanding of - emphasized by late entry of a solemn (notably black) addition to the party. But that was undercut by his joining the rejoicing at the taking of one more named city of equally limited significance.
