"Five Palestinian boys on their way to school were killed early Thursday morning in an explosion Palestinian officials said was caused by an IDF tank shell. The army denied any involvement in the incident, saying it had not been operating in the area.
Palestinian security sources said that the explosion had been triggered when one of the boys kicked an IDF tank shell that had been fired several days earlier and was left lying on the ground, Israel Radio reported.
Three of the boys were aged 13, one was aged 11, and one was six-years-old. "
