Why does an internal flag go up when people lapse into Latin? Even Freud would resort to latin when he got too embarrassed.

It may have been a reason for war. I'm sure Nicaragua had reason to go to war against the United States following our bout of terrorism on their soil. (Or hell, we wasted a few thousand Panamanians getting Noriega...another causus belli.) But they didn't. The point is we bombed Afghanistan for the same "reason" we have done some many other things: we could get away with it.
