I am surprised I have not heard from anyone about the mass mobilizations occurring this last weekend. I attended the one in San Francisco. It looked at first like there would only be a few thousand people, but more people kept coming and coming and coming...until there were a least twenty thousand. It was a beautiful sunny, HOT San Francisco day and for the first time since the bombing, I did not feel either scared or crazy.

The weekend was too busy to watch mainstream news, so could some of you others that went to demonstrations in other cities write in and describe what happened? We were told that there were disruptive counter demonstrations in DC. Is that true?

And finally thanks to the LBOer who suggested "The Bill of Rights is my flag!" for a slogan. After some reflection, I decided to use it and it got a very enthusiastic response. Lots of people patted me on the shoulder and took pictures; one young woman asked me what it meant... and I explained. All in all, a wonderful day!
