If I'm not mistaken, in that books she traces the de-evolution of Oklahoma populist and Debsian radicalism into right-wing populism, now epitomized by fundamentalist Christian ex-football jocks squatting in Congress (like Steve Largent, former star wideout of the Seattle Seahawks and J.C. Watts of Oklahoma Sooner fame).
