The most significant feature of
the imminent US assault against
Afghanistan is the major role
to be played by Russian
military might, following the
new and far-reaching
understanding reached
between President George W.
Bush and President Vladimir
Putin.
This has got to be bullshit. Russia is emphatically against getting involved in Afghanistan. If you think the Russian army would be able to go into Afghanistan again without mass desertion and civil unrest, you're crazy! How reputable is debka, anyway?
