Most leftists in the USA have been so busy condemning the 9/11 
bombers, apologizing for offering leftist explanations of 
socio-political causes of terrorism, and coming up with "practical 
alternatives" to the war that they're not in a position to actually 
implement (even after the Anglo-American bombing of Afghanistan 
began!) that they have yet to get around to pointing out the obvious: 
those who can't even protect its own department of defense are not 
competent even by capitalist standards & are certainly incapable of 
making Americans safe from terrorism.
