Vancouver - University of B.C. professor Sunera Thobani has been accused of publicly inciting hatred against Americans, in her recent speech to a women's conference in Ottawa.
The RCMP say an unidentified B.C. resident filed the complaint against Thobani, under a section of the Criminal Code.
The Mounties have forwarded the complaint to Ottawa police where Thobani made her comments.
In the October 1 speech, Thobani said U.S. foreign policy is "soaked in blood", and accused the U.S. of being the most dangerous and violent force in the world.
