Jeez, it's only a piece of cloth. The flag isn't the state, and burning it doesn't accomplish anything other than provoking "patriots" and alienating people who don't share your advanced political consciousness. Right-wingers welcome flag-burning as a chance to focus populist outrage against the left. You seem to have the same reverence for the flag that the American Legion does--for them it's a god, for you it's a demon. Big difference.
