Not at all. Yoshie's statements are of the form, "The U.S. is not bombing New Zealand; it is bombing Afghanistan." The latter proposition is true. And Afghanistan is neither Islamic fundamentalism nor a terrorist network, neither of which can be affected by the bombing of Afghanistan.

Whatever labels are attached to it, the material reality is that the U.S. is in the process of killing hundreds directly and dooming 10s of thousands to death, none of whom are in the least connected, directly or indirectly, with the 9/11 attacks. The purpose of that bombing is a matter for analysis: I am not quite convinced by any of the analyses currently being offered, but the official rationale for the strikes is clearly a simple lie.
