You seem gripped by the notion you're moderating a discussion list for the US Army War College, Doug. I believe no course of action that is "politically relevant" in the immediate sense would be palatable to most people on the LBO list. I'm simply saying that if we offer up for sacrifice the reckless, imperialistic fucks who got us into this mess --Sharon, Kissinger, Clinton, Bush Sr. ... other nominees welcome -- we could forestall more collateral damage and reduce anti-Americanism enough to prevent continued terrorism. As things stand now, the "politically relevant" course the nation is following seems to be playing into OBL's hands and making things much worse: creating civilian martyrs in Afghanistan and doing nothing to limit the toxins-in-the-inbox terrorism that is causing US public hysteria.

Being fully 40 miles from Ground Zero in the boonies myself, I would be happy to sublet my semi-finished basement to you for the duration. There's some mildew down there, but I can virtually guarantee it's anthrax-free.
