Nice post, but I still disagree with you. I agree with Zak when he says:

Just because the US elite has committed atrocities of its own, and doesn't get punished, why should that absolve criminals in other countries from being punished? The answer, it seems to me, is to pursue all criminals. I've tried to state as clearly as possible what I mean by "pursuit" of the 9/11 terrorists. Evidence must be gathered, and then perpetrators within our reach (either in the US or countries sympathetic to the search) should be arrested, put on trial, and punished if found guilty. Countries harboring suspects in the attacks should be pressured diplomatically, but otherwise left alone.
