The U.S. government has embarked on "a program of secret research on biological weapons that...tests the limits of the global treaty banning such weapons" (New York Times September 4, 2001). Unbeknownst to unsuspecting people in Ohio, the Battelle Memorial Institute, a military contractor, has been "selected to create the genetically altered anthrax" (ibid.). Robert Fitrakis, a distinguished professor of political science as well as an outstanding journalist, will discuss the causes and consequences of the U.S. government's refusal to renounce bio/chemical weapons development and the threats that they pose to the lives and health of all of us.
Speaker: Prof. Robert Fitrakis Date: Saturday, October 27 Time: 5:00 p.m. Location: 0014 University Hall The Ohio State University 230 North Oval Mall
