Gore win suppressed?

Bush 'won' because he had the 'best' strategy by the rules of the current
game: pump up absentee ballots by lax registration procedures in Republican
areas (and I don't mean the handful of military votes everyone was so
concerned about) and suppress voter registration and voting in areas that
are Democratic. Gore's campaign wasn't the disaster some made out it to be
(he proved to be an extremely popular candidate and there was no Ross Perot
around to take votes away from the Republicans), but his Florida strategy
was naive.
Gore won't push what the final analysis might mean anyway. He is a loyal
Democrat who believes in the system.
