it makes a lot of sense. in berkeley. to me. to most folks on this list. who on earth do you think you're talking to here on LBO?

the point, though, is that it doesn't make sense to the people i talk to in the limp dick state. i don't think cramming it down their throat as some here like to do, makes sense. i think it's a good thing to try to understand and articulate their point of view. it shouldn't be that hard to do.

i don't know what prompted your comment, but if it's my insistence that 9-11 was intended as an act of war by those who committed the acts, then i ask you, so what? just because we understand it as an intended act of war does not mean we have to respond to it in the same old ways. and, for remick, running around talking about nation-states can only wage war is like soooooooooooooo 20th century man. it's exactly that kind of thinking that a mistake and it's exactly that kind of thinking that mean that the US government can't get its head out of its ass.
