What kind of 'anti-war movement'?

I live in Virginia. I know what the Left was doing prior to Seattle
because I read the Left press. Of course, what the Left's involvement in
Seattle was like depends on which factions of the Left we are talking
about. Most of the socialist and communist groups missed Seattle. The
ISO was scolded by its sister organization, the SWP, for "missing"
Seattle. Over at Z Magazine, Seattle caught them by surprise. More than
one Seattle veteran later observed that the week was remarkably free of
folks selling party newspapers.
Doug was there! At least one person on the Left knew what was up. ;-)
