Hah - Hey, I - huge (but still empty) money basket in hand - have been convinced for some time now. Still don't see bundles of cash falling from the sky, though.

Madmen and world war don't look like a plausible exit scenario this time around, though. That will make it more interesting: If a section of capital attempts a New Deal-style reform move (and even a hint of that has yet to appear on the horizon), we may really find out if the New Deal woulda "worked", or whether it would have been eventually overtaken by escalating, if protracted, class struggle, before the whole process was short-circuited by the war - the reactionary, speeded up savior of capitalism.

But meanwhile I'll just shutup, kick back and browse this interesting discussion conducted , presumably, by those better informed than I - keep it going!
